My "New Years Readers" Resolution

What is Your New Year's Reading Challenge?
As an Avid reader, sometimes I like to challenge myself. I am giving myself guidelines for what I should pick up next to read. I find that without giving myself guidelines, when I finish a book, a new one is very hard to decide on or even to get into. Well if you know me at all, here is some of my reading background. I will always finish a book I have started reading, even if it takes me three months to get through (and they have).

One of the Weirdest challenges I have set up will begin January 2011.
1-I will read 50 books before January 1st 2012 of any genre, or size that I want. (I call this brain candy)
2- I will also read 50 books from the 1001 Books you must read before you die list (by peter boxall) -I am including this in the "off the shelf" challenge to help motivate me to read all 50 http://bareadingchallenges.blogspot.com/p/off-shelf-challenge.html
3- Out of the above 100 books I will also be making sure that either the author's name or the title of the book will also complete the reading challenge A-Z. So 26 books of the above 100 must have an author's name or title that fits into each letter of the alphabet.
4-Last but not least I have taken on the 12 book Chicklit Challenge hosted by http://chicklitplus.com/chick-lit-reading-challenge-2011/
And the ever popular YA author Debut Challenge hosted by www.thestorysiren.com

I have authorized myself that Audiobooks count as well

Now not to mention the books I get for review. I consider any book I read for review over the next year as counting towards my "Brain Candy 50." (as I usually only get fictional/Young Adult books)

I would love for all of you to follow along on my attempts, Please feel free to join me, recommend books to me or laugh at me in 2012 when I admit defeat. Who Knows!!

I also plan on doing monthly updates at the end of the month, with what I read, which ones I recommend and which ones I don't.       HAPPY READING AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Now, What are your new year's reading resolutions?
