Fallen Legion (Timeless #4) by Laura Kreitzer

The full force of the Empyrean Guard leaves Gabriella trembling where she stands. Even with the Fallen at her back, she lacks the proper training and knowledge to win the inevitable Angelic War. In the Timeless Oblivion, Gabriella seeks the advice of the one person who’s never failed her and comes back with more than she bargained for. Gabriella must do the unthinkable: break the most important law the Celestial Gods decreed thousands of years ago to protect the angels. Now that she’s crossed the line, will she find a way to save the angels? Or has she doomed them all?

Gabriella is the Illuminator, the one to lead the Angels and to save mankind.

She has many struggles in her quest and has to come up against the Emperyean Guards, finds out that there are murders among the Angels. When she has to figure out her visions, she seeks guidance with a long trusted friend. But the answers are not what she was ready for, bringing some very stressful decisions to be made.

The fourth book in the Timeless series is a culmination of what Gabriella has been training, and fighting for. The decisions that she makes will determine the lives for many others. This story does not focus just on Gabriella's duties as an Illuminator but she also has her sister's wedding to help with and humor brought to the story especially with the  bachelorette party.

After everything Gabriella experienced in book 3 and the war for her soul. Her constant companion Andrew is by far my favorite character. I enjoyed their relationship and even with the hardships, it seemed a perfect fit.

Fast paced action scenes, battles and our main character who has a great load of stress and decisions to make. A great romance element and of course the daily routine that will keep reminding Gabriella that she has her human responsibilities as well. The Timeless series is one that I think older teens and adults will enjoy.
